"My natural prescription
is regarding
the professionality"
Cav. Faccio Carlo
In a small village of the Langhe, Cassinasco, Antonio Faccio
prepared for the first time in 1856 a specialty, the nougat, following
an original recipe that nowadays like in those times satisfies the most
demanding connoisseurs with the supple taste of the nut of Langhe, the
sweetness of the aroma of acacia from the hives, the strength of the
fresh eggs and the lightness of vanilla.
In his simple workshop
Antonio Faccio started producing this delicacy and selling it with
greater and greater success in the villages where he transported his
nougat simply carrying it in a small wooden case on his shoulders.
Later
the recipe of our nougat passed to his constant and enterprising son
Carlo who, at the beginning of last century, succeeded in promoting our
product everywhere in big cities and even abroad; in fact, his products
were rewarded with golden medals in Acqui in 1907 and Genoa in 1913.
Nowadays
at Cassinasco his descendants, proud of the continuity linking them to «
great-grandfather Carlin », are in the same workshop at side of the
shop and are still producing with the same care in dosing the
ingredients, always fresh and absolutely natural, and in the slow and
methodical preparation of this nougat: one of the sweetest harmonies of
taste produced in the Langhe region.
Nowadays we produce also La Torroncina a patented product.
